SC Telco Federal Credit Union has named Ryan Flynn, Karina Wolfe, and Blake Turner as winners of the Louis C. Addison Memorial Scholarship. Each scholarship recipient will receive $3,000.
Ryan Flynn is a graduating senior at Shannon Forest Christian School where he is a member of the Student Council and the National Honor Society. During his high school career, he has been an active member of the Varsity Baseball, Basketball and Golf teams. He is very involved in his church and school community service organizations, logging over 190 hours of community service. In his spare time, he coaches young baseball players in his community. Ryan plans to earn his MBA after he receives his bachelor’s degree from Wofford College where he is attending this fall.
Karina Wolfe, daughter of Andrew and Liz Wolfe, is a graduating senior at Bob Jones Academy where she is a shining example of hard work and dedication. Working tirelessly behind the scenes, Karina has been an integral part of the stage crew for her entire high school career. Karina currently serves as the Deputy Stage Manager, the highest-ranking student position at her school often reserved for college students. Karina is looking forward to attending Bob Jones University in the fall and wants to pursue a career with the FBI after earning her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
Blake Turner, son of Stephen and Nancy Turner, is a graduating senior at South Point High School in Belmont, NC. In addition to serving as the team captain of the Varsity Basketball team, Blake is also a member of the Beta Club and the National Honor Society. Blake’s passion for serving people with special needs is evident in his work with Holy Angels and the Special Olympics. Blake plans to continue to serve his community when he attends North Carolina State University this fall. After earning his bachelor’s degree in accounting, he aspires to become a CPA.
