2013 Louis C. Addison Memorial Scholarship

Congratulations to the 2013 scholarship recipients!

The Louis C. Addison Memorial Scholarship Committee is proud to announce Jeremy Fowler and Victoria Wrightson as the recipients of the 2013 Louis C. Addison Memorial Scholarships.

JeremyFowler_Web.jpgJeremy is a graduating senior of Wren high school in Piedmont, SC. He has been a member of the National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society for two years and is currently the President of both organizations. Jeremy is the Director of Public Relations for the Wren High School Spotlight Players who study the performing arts in several dimensions to discover their hidden talents in music, acting, dancing, comedy, set design and stage management. He spent a year as a Leader of the Community Service Committee for Junior Leadership Anderson which is a program designed to encourage, equip and empower young people for leadership roles in the future. Jeremy is actively involved in Serteen where he plans the Trunk or Treat event each year. Jeremy also enjoys volunteering for Relay for Life and for the Greenville Zoo where he volunteered over 150 hours.

Jeremy is looking forward to attending Calhoun's Honors College at Clemson University in the fall to become a Forensic Anthropologist.


VictoriaWrightson_Web.jpgVictoria Wrightson is a graduating senior of Brookland Cayce High School in Cayce, SC. She is a six year member of the Varsity Swim team and is currently the three-time Girls Team Captain. In addition to this, she is a member and volunteer coach of the Edenwood Swim Team, where she works with four to eight year old novice swimmers. As company commander of her high school Junior ROTC, she has volunteered extensively within the Brookland Cayce community, participating in activities like Adopt-a-Highway and Helping Hands. Victoria is also a gifted art student. As a student in AP Art, she has given her time to work at a summer art camp as a volunteer instructor. She is a member of the Art Club and of the Art Honor Society. Her art has been exhibited at the SC State Fair, the Lexington School District Two High School Art Show and at the Tapp’s Center for the Arts.


Victoria is looking forward to attending Winthrop University in the fall. Her goal is to have her own interior design business or become an art teacher.
